An outpatient practice built around how recovery actually works.
Pasadena Clinical Group is an organization of licensed clinicians who specialize in adult substance use, recovery, and the conditions that almost always travel alongside it. Our office is in Pasadena. Our work spans the City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, the greater LA metro, and Orange County.
Recovery isn't a single decision. It's a thousand small ones — repeated, in good company.
People walk through our door at every imaginable stage. Some have been in twelve different rooms before this one. Some have never told anyone about the drinking. Some are here because their partner asked them to be, and they don't yet agree there's a problem. Some are five years sober and want to stop white-knuckling it.
What we've learned, year after year, is that the people who stay are the people who don't have to perform their recovery for anyone. They get a quiet room, a clinician who's seen this before, and a group of peers who have stopped being surprised. That's what this practice is built to give.
Eight languages, on purpose.
English, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, Vietnamese, Hindi, Italian, Arabic, and Armenian — spoken by clinicians on staff. Recovery is hard enough without translating yourself.
Telehealth seven days a week.
Sessions on weekday evenings, weekend mornings, and remote care for the days you'd otherwise miss. Most insurance plans cover both in-person and telehealth visits at the same rate.
LGBTQ+ affirmative care, across every service.
Not a separate program — a baseline. The same training and the same standard for every client we see, with clinicians who don't make you explain who you are before you can talk about why you came in.
All insurance accepted.
We accept all insurance and offer sliding-scale fees on a case-by-case basis where coverage falls short. Out-of-network superbills are available for clients with PPO plans we aren't directly contracted with.
Outpatient only — by design.
We don't run a residential program, a detox, or an emergency line. We do the long-arc, week-after-week work that keeps recovery from becoming a single dramatic moment you have to repeat.
Built for the LA metro, anchored in Pasadena.
Most clients come from Los Angeles, Glendale, Burbank, South Pasadena, Eagle Rock, Highland Park, Alhambra, and Arcadia, with telehealth reaching across LA County and Orange County. The 110, the 134, and the Gold Line all come past us.
We treat substance use as a context, not an identity.
Substance use is rarely the whole story. It's almost always tangled with sleep that fell apart, anxiety that wouldn't quiet, a marriage that's strained, a job that asks too much, a grief that never got to land, a family system that's been stuck for a decade. We work with all of it.
Our clinicians draw from evidence-based modalities — Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and trauma-focused therapies including EMDR. The right modality is whichever one fits you, your history, and what you're actually trying to change.
Group therapy is our hero modality, and it's the one most underused. There's something specific that happens when a person hears their own thought come out of someone else's mouth, in a room where nobody flinched. That's what we build, every week.
Curious whether we'd be a fit?
The first session is a conversation, not a commitment. Our healthcare coordinator can usually offer two or three appointment options within a week.
