Accessibility Statement

1. Our commitment

Pasadena Clinical Group is committed to making la-substanceuse.com accessible to people of all abilities. We design and maintain the Site with the goal of conforming to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, which describes how to make web content accessible to people with disabilities, including those who use assistive technologies.

2. Legal context

We strive to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the California Unruh Civil Rights Act (Cal. Civ. Code §51 et seq.), and any other applicable accessibility law. The Unruh Act, which applies broadly to business establishments in California, provides important rights for individuals with disabilities; we treat compliance with it as a baseline.

3. Conformance status

We aim for WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance and continually test the Site for compliance. Specific accessibility features built into the Site include:

  • Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy.
  • Keyboard-navigable navigation, forms, and modals (including the cookie preferences modal).
  • Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements.
  • Sufficient color contrast on body text (target ≥ 4.5:1).
  • Descriptive alt text on all meaningful images.
  • Forms with explicit labels associated with their fields.
  • "Skip to content" link for keyboard and screen-reader users.
  • Reduced-motion support honoring the prefers-reduced-motion media query.
  • Responsive design across mobile, tablet, and desktop breakpoints.

4. Last accessibility audit

Most recent internal accessibility review: [DATE]. Findings and remediations from each review are tracked internally; significant outstanding issues, if any, are listed in the section below.

5. Known limitations

Despite our best efforts, some content may not be fully accessible. Known limitations include:

  • Embedded third-party content (such as the Google Maps iframe on the Contact page) is governed by the third party's own accessibility practices.
  • Some PDF documents linked from the Site may not yet be fully tagged for screen readers; we are working to remediate.

6. How to report an accessibility barrier

If you encounter a barrier on this Site, or if you need an alternative format for any of our content, please contact us. We aim to respond within five (5) business days and to remediate identified barriers as quickly as feasible.
